Customers, who decide for a Kuhn Rikon product, profit from outstanding warranty services. Even if an article is not any more available, the spare parts for the swiss made items are – for another 15 years and sometimes even longer. The entire Kuhn Rikon branded product range will be repaired by our specifically trained specialists. Kuhn Rikon provides these exceptional services worldwide.


DUROTHERM® leakage check – Leakage test you can carry out at home.

How to test whether your DUROTHERM cookware is absolutely airand watertight:

1. Take off the side-grips and/or the handle.

2. Completely immerse the cold DUROTHERM cookware at an angle in a hot water bath (at least 50 ºC). Caution: protect your hands from the hot water!

3. If air bubbles start rising, this indicates that there is a leak. Do not use the cookware any more, and send it in to be checked.

4. If no air bubbles appear, the cookware has no leaks and you can continue to use.

5. Refit the side-grip or handle.

To ensure you enjoy your Kuhn Rikon product for as long as possible, our customer service department and Service Center in Rikon (CH) offer professional service and competent support.

2-year warranty

Unless otherwise stated, we offer a 2-yr warranty (minimum) on all our products.

5-year warranty

We offer a 5-yr warranty (minimum) on all Swiss-made frying pans and cookware.

10-year warranty

We offer a 10-yr warranty on selected Swiss-made frying pans, Swiss-made items of cookware and selected Swiss design stainless steel cookware items.

  • In the event of a complaint

    Please send the item in question to our Service Center in Rikon, or take it to one of our Kuhn Rikon shops. Please see here for the respective addresses. When you do so, please note that:

    • We require the complete product (with all individual components) in order to evaluate the situation properly.
    • We require valid proof of purchase for the returned product (receipt, invoice or confirmation of order).
    • If you return the item by post, please include a short note which briefly details the reason for your complaint and your contact details.

    If the defect is due to a manufacturing or material fault, you are entitled to a free repair, a substitute product of equivalent value, a replacement or a refund. Proof of purchase is required for the above.

    If the defect is not due to a manufacturing or material fault, we will send you a quote for the expected costs before taking action if the repair will cost more than CHF 50 (or if you specifically request a quote). If the repair costs are under CHF 50, we will repair the product immediately.

  • Definition of manufacturing or material fault

    Manufacturing or material faults are faults which already exist at the time of purchase, or which become evident when the product is used under normal conditions.

    Damage caused by any of the below do not count as manufacturing or material faults, and are not covered by the warranty:

    • Improper use of the product
    • Damage caused by dropping or accidents
    • Normal wear and tear (e.g., spare parts)
    • Damage caused by misuse or negligence
    • Discolouring caused by foodstuffs / spices
    • Discolouration or deformation caused by overheating
    • Incisions on cutting boards
    • Incisions on coats and finishes

    We cannot accept liability for damage to products which:

    • have not been used or serviced in accordance with the Instructions of Use or Instructions of Care
    • have been modified or repaired by a third party
    • have been purchased from an unauthorised seller (e. g., Brockenhaus, ricardo, ebay).

Outside of these opening hours, you are welcome to drop off your cookware at the factory store and our Service Center will check it the following day.

Send us your cookware for repair or inspection. We will process your repair within one working day, and will deliver by post.

Would you rather not travel to the post office? With Webstamp from the Post Office, the postman comes to your home or to a workplace in Switzerland and picks up the package.

Please note that cost estimates for repairs will be made from an amount of more than CHF 50.- (or at the express customer's request). Any amount less than CHF 50.- will be charged directly.
